Member Universities

ARUA is a network of seventeen (17) African universities spread across ten (10) African nations. These Universities share a common vision of making African researchers and their institutions globally competitive while contributing to the generation of knowledge for the socio-economic transformation of Africa .

University of Mauritius

The University of Mauritius has become the first associate member university of ARUA following the signing of an MoU between ARUA and the University on 8th March, 2021. The move makes it possible for researchers at the University of Mauritius to participate in all ARUA activities including conferences, workshops, training programs and research projects.

The University is one of the leading institutions of higher education in Mauritius and nurtures a vision of becoming a research-engaged and entrepreneurial university. The collaboration between ARUA and the University provides further opportunity to leverage research capacity to tackle trans-national and regional challenges across the continent.
